Alps Taxi Cabs | Geneva Airport Transfers | Taxi Morzine

USEFUL INFORMATION

YOUR SAFETY: This is our priority! Taxi Morzine has an impeccable safety record and our vehicles are equipped with snow tyres and snow chains. Also as previously stated, our drivers are qualified and experienced in snow conditions.

CHILD SEATS: We have booster seats and front facing baby seats available which are free of charge but must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. We do not offer the rear facing car seats (Maxicosy type) and we recommend you to bring your own - bear in mind that for small babies these are handy to have on holiday anyway and double up as a handy chair to feed or to let your baby have a nap.

CAR SICKNESS: Please be aware that we will be driving on winding roads, often in minibuses where smaller children do not have a great view of the road. The best advice we can offer is to give potential sufferers medication prior to the transfer, DO NOT read or play video games in the car and avoid fizzy drinks and rich, sweet foods beforehand.

FOOD AND DRINK: Following several messy incidents over the years we now operate a strict no eating or drinking policy in our vehicles. This is not only to help prevent car sickness but we also endeavour to keep our cars spotless for all of our passengers.

ALCOHOL: No alcohol must be consumed or transported on any of our vehicles. We reserve the right to refuse to transport any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or substances.

FRIDAY FLIGHTS: A great way to avoid the mad rush on the roads on a Saturday and also higher weekend airfares is to travel to Geneva on a Friday, stay at a hotel near the airport and book a transfer to resort with us the following morning. The additional cost of a hotel is usually covered by the reduced airfare. Just imagine! Breakfast in Geneva and skiing by 10am while everyone else is stuck in traffic jams or at the airport!

PAYMENT: Payment is strictly per transfer. Please do not ask to pay for both transfers on your return trip as a refusal is rather embarrassing! If you need euros then mention this to your driver and he/she will take you to a cash machine. Swiss francs and French bank cheques are also accepted.

FLIGHT DELAYS: We ask all of our guests to inform us of any delays by phone before boarding the flight - if we are not informed there is a waiting surcharge of 20 euros per hour. Our priority on transfer day is that all guests reach their departure flight on time - this may mean that if your flight is significantly delayed you will have to wait until the next vehicle is at the airport. For flight delays of over two hours we may be unable to meet you at the airport at all due to other bookings. In such cases we will endeavour to find you another taxi although we cannot always guarantee this to be the same price as us. Communication is vital on transfer day so we can help find a solution! Remember we are driving and are unable to check the internet for emails or flight delay information - this is why having contact mobile phone numbers is so important on transfer day.

AVORIAZ: On busy Saturdays and during heavy snowfalls we cannot guarantee taking the vehicle up to the resort directly. On busy snowy changeover days last year some vehicles were trapped on the Morzine - Avoriaz road for over three hours! To avoid any problems in such an event we simply take our clients to the Prodains cable car at a lower tariff.

ONCE IN RESORT: After booking with us you will be given Jo's phone number in resort so you can confirm the return trip time and let us know if there are any changes. We are available throughout the week and in the evenings if you need a taxi ride home from the ski lifts or if you fancy a night out just out of town. If we cannot do the run we can always find a colleague to help you out.

INSURANCE: As required by French law, our vehicles are insured for passenger and third party claims.

FORCE MAJEURE: We cannot accept responsibility for changes to, or cancellation of, transfer arrangements caused by events beyond our control. For example, changes caused by: war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, natural disasters, fire, technical problems to transport, closure of airports, closure of roads, adverse weather conditions, heavy snow, avalanche or similar events beyond our control. Similarly, we cannot accept responsibility for any additional accommodation or flight/travel costs or subsequent loss of wages as a result of these events.
